Final Tote Bag Design:
Evaluation of the Whole Project
I found this project really tough, which out of all the briefs I should have been able to carry this one out the easyiest as I sell tote bags with designs on them for a living. I think that a strength of this project was that I did first-hand research and went to Clerkenwell to see what the place was like, I then analysed my finding when I got home and decided that I liked I thought there were 3 main interesting things I found from my walk around Clerkenwell which was I was fascinated about all the doors where different and each told the story of it, the pavement and St John's Gate. In the end I based 3 ideas off all on my first hard findings.
I was disappointed that my 2nd idea was taken well, I looked at the brief as a consumer would want to bring carry their tote bag around with them so I wanted to go on more the high street style, this didn't seem to get great feedback. If I was to do this project again I would have focused more on communicating Clerkenwell and not try and make it a bag that people wanted to pair with an outfit. This is why I redid this project and I feel that it communicated an aspect Clerkenwell which is what the brief asked for.
